... in God Minimize

  •  The Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that the only way to salvation is through faith in Him alone, that He was born of the virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit, that He died a cruel death on the cross, rose again on the third day, and is coming again.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  (John 3:16)

  • God is the only one triune God, eternally existing as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Matthew 28:19)

  • Mankind is in dire need of a Savior and that true, heartfelt repentance accompanied by genuine Godly sorrow for sin is commanded of God and necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

  • Holiness is God's standard for living for His people.
"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." (Hebrews 12:14)

... in the Great Commission Minimize

When we consider how many are dying and entering eternity without the hope of heaven simply because no one bothered to tell them the TRUTH, we are compelled to consider why we don't bother to tell them the TRUTH. Jesus' last words were...

In Matthew: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matt 28:18-20)

In Mark: "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16)

In Luke: "...repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:47)

In John: "Feed my sheep..." (John 21:17)

In Acts: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

These are Jesus' last and most important instruction to us as He left this earth.  How can we ignore what was His final message to us?

The Lord commissioned us, as believers, to carry His name, to preach His salvation, and to minister His mercy to all.

What are we doing to obey His last command to us?

Our response to the Great Commission is found in the landscape of Heart of God International Ministries and all the various outreaches associated with this growing influence in the earth today.  If you want a place to plug in and reach people who may not otherwise have heard the Message of the Gospel of Salvation, contact us today.  Doing nothing is the same as telling people they don't matter.  Getting involved shows the love of God that dwells in you and in us.

... in the Covenant of Marriage Minimize

Before we can understand God's plan and purpose for marriage, we will have to resist our tendency to interpret scriptures through our contemporary understanding of the Scriptures.  Instead, we are compelled to look at the scripture as it was written -- to whom it was written, why it was written, and the end purpose of what God is showing us.

Ultimately, Paul speaks in Ephesians 5:32 specifically regarding the purpose of marriage:  "This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church."

When we, especially as Christians, do not fulfill our vows in marriage, we have failed to exemplify the higher purpose of marriage, that being to be a witness to the world of Christ's faithfulness to the Church, His bride.

To help put it in context ... we, the church (the Bride) have adulterated ourselves against the Lord over and over and over and over and over.  We have been abusive toward His promises to us, taking them for granted, manipulating His Word toward our own end, given Him ample opportunity to be angered toward us, opened the door for severe discipline in our lives through our blatant disobedience.  Yet, His covenant of betrothal to us, the Bride, is not broken.  He will not break it.  His covenant is an everlasting covenant, just as the covenant of marriage is to be an everlasting covenant.

God is a God of covenant; He established the union between one man and one woman to be a covenant (see Malachi 2:13-end).  Is it no wonder our society is in constant upheaval. We fail to keep covenant.

We all have family and/or close friends who are divorced.  Do we love them any less?  No!  Absolutely not!  The Highest Law of YHWH is love ... perfect love.  Love without guilt.  Love without condemnation.  Love without accusation.  Love without reserve.

If you are struggling in your marriage, please ... seek help, seek Godly counseling, seek GOD!  If you know someone struggling, be a friend, love them, give them truth based in love.

Be a light in your marriage and in your relationships with family, friends, and community.  Above all, be a conduit of God's love.

... in Israel, God's Covenant People Minimize

A Covenanted People

From:  Israel My Beloved
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem
"And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you." (Genesis 17:7)

"And who is like Your people, like Israel, the one nation on the earth whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a name-- and to do for Youself great and awesome deeds for Your land... For You have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever; and You, LORD, have become their God." (2 Sam 7:23-24 NKJ)

Four thousand years ago, the LORD God looked down from heaven and chose a man through whom He would bring a special people into the world. This people, in turn, would be the channel through which His light and blessing would be established for all mankind.

Because He is God, the LORD could have simply declared His intention to Abraham and that would have been that. In His infinite wisdom, however, because He knows the end of everything from the beginning, and because He knew who He was dealing with (His stiff-necked creation), God went "out of His way" to bind Himself to this decision by entering into a covenant with Abraham, with his descendants, and with Himself.

This covenant, affirmed to Isaac and then to Jacob (and not to Ishmael or Esau), made a special people out of the children of Israel, a people God called His special treasure, the apple of His eye.

Tragically, many, many Christians - arguably the majority - have been taught that God switched His favor from the nation of Israel to the gentile Church. They believe that, because of the Jews' rejection as a nation of Jesus as Messiah, God in fact terminated or altered His covenant to exclude national Israel.

The Bible, of course, makes it clear that this covenant is unchangeable:

Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who disturbs the sea, and its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name): "If those ordinances depart from before Me, says the LORD, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever." (Jeremiah 31:35-36)

Israel was, is, and will remain God's chosen, special people. Many do not like this, many refuse to accept it, some pooh-pooh the notion that any one group of people is or could be favoured above all others. Well, like it or not, this is the way things stand. For God has covenanted with the Jews and unlike the rest of us:

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19)

Note:  We are aware that Israel is a sinful nation, having rejected their Redeemer, Yeshuah the Messiah...far from the Godly nation we pray for it to be.  As we see the current unrighteous estate of the Jews (as with the whole world outside of faith in Yeshua), we cannot and will not be shaken by their actions.  We commit our love and prayerful support for the people Israel as God's chosen people simply because God loves them and calls them His very own.
