Communicating God's Heart
Jan has an insatiable love for the Word of God. Her ability to communicate the truth in a simple and understandable way has led to open doors for ministry at conferences, retreats, women’s gatherings, and churches both locally and internationally. God has graciously given Jan the gift of teaching and a passion to see lives continually transformed through the power of God. Her commitment to the truth makes her messages pertinent and individual as she reaches across denominational, social, and racial barriers to share the undiluted truth, exposing God's heart to any who will hear. Her humble, straightforward manner challenges her audience to go further with God, seeking Him first and His righteousness before seeking Him for His benefits (Matthew 6:33). It’s obvious that Jan’s international preaching and teaching ministry has increased the depth of her passion to convey the message of true Christianity to those who are serious about pursuing a deep and abiding relationship with Christ.
As well as being a published author, Jan writes a devotional available by email currently being distributed to thousands daily. She also writes Bible studies and sermons for translation and distribution to pastors and teachers in India. Jan had a dream to see a Bible School built in order to teach the untaught Christian leaders in remote areas of India the depth of Christ’s love and how to communicate the plan of salvation to the tribal areas where the message of salvation is unheard. This dream became reality in February of 2008 when ministry partners in India organized the Heart of God School of Ministry in India. With the help of faithful and committed friends and partners of the ministry, this school is making a huge impact on the students.
The Lord has woven into Jan's life tremendous examples of how He deals with His people through His heart of abundant mercy and love. There are times she feels led to share portions of her testimony which may include her challenges with chronic pain or the emotional healing she received after years of rejection—evidence of how the enemy twists and confuses circumstances to crush the heart of children.
Jan was called and set apart by God before she was born; she was not only adopted as a child, she and her husband adopted older children after having three natural children despite great medical obstacles. He has led her through challenge after challenge, teaching her by example how He personally intervenes in the lives of those who choose to love Him and seek Him with all their hearts.
Jan is President and Co-Founder of Heart of God International Ministries, a family of ministries devoted to encouraging, strengthening, and building the Body of Christ. Like any "family", Heart of God International Ministries work together for a common cause—seeing the Kingdom of God established in the hearts and homes of people across the globe and seeking out to reach the lost, wherever and whomever they might be.
Jan and her husband Ron make their home in northern Ohio. They are the parents of six wonderful adult children (Glen, Martha, Barbara, Andrew, Dana, and Deborah); they have thirteen incredible grandchildren. Ron and Jan are active in their local church; Jan leads a women’s Bible Study and teaches whenever the opportunity affords.
