SHOWERS OF BLESSING

We simply cannot do without saturating showers of grace. Seasonable grace. For His glory.

The Blessing of God

“I will cause the shower to come down in his season;
there shall be showers of blessing.” (Ezekiel 34:26)

Showers. Blessing. Mercy. Grace. Much needed. Greatly desired. Given by God in His season. Sovereignly. At His command.

As the ground cannot live without showers, mankind cannot live without the blessing of God. One may plow. Another may sow. But, without the plenteous showers from heaven, the seed will lie dormant in the ground. Unproductive. Unfruitful.

God didn’t say He would send us drops of blessing or a taste of grace. He said showers. If He gives a blessing, He will almost always give it in such measure that there is not room enough to receive it.

Grace. Plenteous grace. Humbling grace. Grace to make us holy. Grace to preserve us through this life. We simply cannot do without saturating showers of grace. Seasonable grace. For His glory.

Showers of blessing. Plural showers. God will send all kinds of blessing. Spurgeon says, “If He gives converting grace, He will also give comforting grace.” Grace linked with grace. A heavenly watering. Saturating showers of blessing.

Are you parched and thirsty for God’s watering? Open your heart to receive a heavenly watering. He is waiting for a receptive heart.
