Grape Salad
The first time I saw this, I hesitated to even try it. No way would grapes and butterfingers go together ... at least that's what I thought. After braving a first taste, my opinion changed drastically! I was amazing! And, my kids and grandkids totally agreed! It became the most requested dessert ever! If you've never tried this, you don't want to miss out on a real treat. But, beware – it's sweet and addicting. And, because it has fresh grapes don't be fooled into thinking it's healthy because ... well, it's probably not too healthy, especially for those watching their A1C levels.
- 4 lbs Grapes (I prefer the big seedless red grapes)
- 8 oz Sour Cream
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/2 c White Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Wash and pat dry the grapes. Place in a 9x13 pan. Mix the creams, sugar, and vanilla together and pour over the grapes.
Topping
- 4 Butterfinger candy bars (or 10 "Funsize")
- 1/2 c Brown Sugar
Crush the candy bars so there are no large clumps. Mix together with the brown sugar and sprinkle over the grapes. Refrigerate.
Note: I always double this recipe since it goes fast!
