Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler."

As difficult as it is to understand when we’re in the midst of troubling circumstances, God often uses our trouble as the means of delivering us from a far greater evil. And, His love for us is the motivating factor!

While there are times God spares us untold trouble by keeping us from the fowler’s snare, there are other times when He will allow us to get caught because of our own choices and/or willful disobedience and use the circumstances to deliver us from utter destruction. Because He is merciful doesn’t necessarily mean that He will prevent us from experiencing consequences. He will never cast you away. The repentant heart is always received and restored so the bones He has allowed to be broken can once again rejoice.

If you, as a believer, find yourself in a position where you have sinned, you can expect God to deliver you from the fowler’s snare. You are not guaranteed a “free pass” from consequences, but you are promised deliverance — God’s way, in God’s time, and for His ultimate glory. His love for us never fails!

Trust His Word. His promise of deliverance will come. And, when it does, it will be in a way that deepens your faith while glorifying God. “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler” (Psalm 91:3).

"When the storms are raising
And your life is full of doubt
Keep your eyes on the Savior
And He will bring you out"
