I WILL REJOICE

"Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation." (Habakkuk 3:18) Habakkuk is not speaking of an automatic response to something that gives you great pleasure.

I Will Rejoice in the God of My Salvation

I will rejoice.  I will joy.  I will.

People need to see Christians smile. A believer’s countenance needs to reflect the true and unexplainable Joy of salvation, Peace that floods the soul, and Happiness that only total surrender to the King of kings can bring.

"Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation."(Habakkuk 3:18)

The type of joy Habakkuk is speaking of is not an automatic response to something that gives you great pleasure.  This type of joy is an act of the will and very often a determined decision when there is no apparent reason.  It is allowing the peace that passes all understanding to remain constant regardless of one’s circumstances.  It is a knowing that God has a plan and He is in the midst of whatever one is going through.

I will rejoice.  I will joy.  I will!

Take a few moments today and ask yourself how the world sees you. Do they see you as depressed, burdened, and weighed down by your circumstances?  If so, ask the Lord to help you release that Joy down in your soul for the whole world to see and let it shine.  You may be the only light that someone will ever see that leads them to the foot of the cross.

Go ahead, my friends ... joy in the God of your salvation!

I will rejoice.  I will joy.  I will!

Father, I am truly grateful for all you have done for me. From the depth of my heart I rejoice in You, the God of my salvation. I make a decision today to let my countenance tell the story of Your wondrous love and redeeming blood which bought my freedom from sin and death. Lord, how I rejoice in just knowing You! What a privilege! Hallelujah!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!” (Psalm 103:1 KJV)
