VICTORY Armed Forces Devotional
The Seasons of Refreshing Devotional series now includes VICTORY, a unique and original devotional written specifically for members of all branches of the United States military.
Victory. Success or triumph over an enemy in battle or war. An engagement ending in triumph. The ultimate and decisive superiority in battle or contest. Success or superior position achieved against any opponent, opposition, difficulty, etc.
The mission of Soldiers Bible Ministry (SBM) is to bring encouragement to each and every member of the Armed Forces through God’s eternal Word. We believe the greatest gift we can give today’s men and women who have either served or are currently serving our country is the assurance that (1) they are key to God’s plans and purposes for our nation, (2) they are performing a task fulfilling a purpose greater than that which can be seen by the naked eye, and (3) each individual, regardless of rank or branch of service, is of vital importance to us all.
General George Marshall once said, “Military power wins battles, but spiritual power wins wars.” When we face the enemy, it is important to realize that we are an integral part of an eternal force greater than officers, enlisted men and women and volunteers—ranks are strengthened, enlarged and intensified by the power of God who goes before us, hems us in, and leads us into victory.
“Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom” (General George S. Patton). Success is simply another word for victory which is always the goal toward which we should strive. When you’re face-to-face with your enemy, victory is your goal. When you’re facing emotional trauma, victory is your goal. When you face temptation that seems bigger than life, victory is your goal.
Soldiers Bible Ministry believes that whatever enemy or foe we face in life, God’s Word will ultimately set us on the path toward victory. It is our prayer that this book will encourage every reader to continue to press on against the enemy/enemies until victory becomes the most cherished prize for a well-fought battle.
