TIME TO SURRENDER

Proclaiming God's Total Authority

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rules, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Eph 6:12)

The events over the past weeks have been heart-breaking to watch from the safety and comfort of our homes here in the United States. To us, it’s news albeit very disturbing. Unfortunately, to a growing number of men, women and children across the globe, it has become stark reality. We are in the midst of a war of unprecedented aggression against our culture — a culture known to them as Christian.

The war with ISIS is not a battle with flesh and blood. It’s a battle with principalities and powers unseen by the natural eye for truly only the spiritual eye can discern the genuine basis of this battle and perceive the legitimate nature of the enemy. Can this battle be won without recognizing and acknowledging the genuine enemy? I submit that lacking spiritual insight will propel this war against flesh and blood without final resolution. Even all the instinctive skill and military genius waging war against them, the enemy we face will not surrender. Though the enemy’s warfare may abate for a season, he will return with greater fury than ever before.

I believe we’ve repeatedly faced this same enemy inumerable times throughout history and we will repeatedly continue to face him until mankind wakes up and acknowledges that the battle is greater than us and begins to humbly and sincerely surrender to the Creator to lead him to victory over this most tenacious and resolute foe.

Our national leaders will tell you we are not fighting against a religion. Yet, even in the face of the enemy, they continue to rely on man while refusing to acknowledge and call upon the omnipotent and omniscient Sovereign of the universe. The exasperating and heartbreaking war being waged today is primarily due to the fact that the world (as a whole) is snubbing their nose at God — not just any “God” but the One True God — the Creator, Redeemer, Savior and Master Controller of all.

Erasing God from the lives of children by scrubbing any reference to Christianity from education at all levels while ridding the public of any and all reference to God is more than simply making a statement. It is literally empowering the enemy in his battle against the Most High God. It is cutting the restraints which have held back the noxious battle against all that is good and granting a license to the enemies of God to wage war using men, women and children as pawns in his age-old rebellion.

There is indeed a war going on in the heavenlies that far surpasses our ability to grasp in its fulness — a spiritual war being played out before our eyes. This conflict began before the foundation of the earth when rebellion reared up challenging the dominion and ultimate authority of the Most High God. Fighting the battle in the natural realm doesn’t have much (if any) impact on the spiritual conflict.

It is a sad state when so many are disillusioned with Christianity to the extent that they are willing to accept the tenets of other religions as superior to that which glorifies the Most High God and His unabashed love for His creation. It is indeed a sad state of affairs when even those who are members of the so-called “peaceful” religion of Islam, though they may reject the violence and hatred and murderous precepts taught in their basic ideology, continue to support the world-wide religious structure with their money and loyalties. It is a bitter pill to swallow when we see Christians defend Islam while the radicals of that creed, in the name of Allah, molest, mutilate, slaughter and massacre men, women and children in order to gain some warped illusion of “heaven”.

If we continue to turn a blind eye to the reality of this battle — not with flesh and blood but that which is between principalities and powers — we have become no different than those who have resolved to erase God from the consciousness of mankind.

It’s time to take a stand. We need to stop trying to blend in with all this “political correctness” and boldly stand up for Truth.

It’s time for military leaders to acknowledge the spiritual aspect of this war and equip the troops for spiritual battle.

It’s time for governments and political powers to acknowledge the origin of this battle and call the masses to repentance.

It’s time mankind stopped trying to be God and acknowledge his/her weakness and indisputable need for the Supreme God’s rule over their heart.

It’s time for total surrender and bold proclamation of The Most High God’s supreme authority over all principalities and powers, both natural and spiritual.

It’s time to stop playing Christian.

It's time to surrender all to the Most High God.

"There is none like you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.” (Jer 10:6-7)
